Fuel Price comparison of Petrol Stations in Sofia
Posted by admin on July 1, 2008Ok! We all know prices of petrol are high but still some petrol stations in Sofia sell cheaper than others.
We went on a small inspection to compare the prices of the petrol in the major providers – OMV , Shell and Lukoil.
- Shell – 2 July 2008.
– petrol А95 – 1,227 euro per liter
– diesel – 1,309 euro per liter - OMV – 2 July 2008.
– petrol А95 – 1,232 euro per liter
– diesel – 1,309 еeuro per liter - Lukoil – 2 July 2008.
– petrol А95 – 1,232 euro per liter
– diesel – 1,299 euro per liter
Anyone can see that these prices are with 5 -6 euro cents more than the official prices. You can certainly find cheaper petrol and diesel in smaller non – branded facilities but you have no guarantee for the quality. We will highly encourage you to search for Petrol – the Bulgarian chain of stations and Eko Petrolium but they can’t be found everywhere.
To put in a nutshell if you use petrol 95 better stick to Shell Stations. If you use diesel watch out for the red and white Lukoil stations.
And once again do not forget to return your rental car with full tank. Otherwise you will end up paying to the rent a car company anything from 1.5 to 2.5 euros per liter.
